Women of Self Help Groups at Baliapal block have no access to vocational skill training. ARM has identified this problem of SHGs during follow-up programme. After market study and consultation with SHGs the vocational training on tailoring has been identified by SHGs as the requirement. The interested beneficiaries have also been identified by the concerned SHGs. One experienced and qualified tailoring instructor has been appointed after an interview. She has already conducted the tailoring training for 20 beneficiaries over a period of 4 months. The beneficiaries get training for 3 hours every day in the training hall available with ARM. After successful completion of training the beneficiaries are connected to local and wholesale marketing channels and also connected with banks for mobilization of finance.
